Amora Releases New Single: “Blink of an Eye”

I first caught Amora at Camp Punksylvania 4, and to say that their show kicked fucking ass would be an understatement for sure. Everyone there had one of those moments where you knew there was no placed you’d rather be for the next fucking 30 minutes and all of lives problems no longer matter as long as this band was up on stage killing it.

So I was stoked as fuck when I got the chance to review their newest song, “Blink of an Eye”. I’ll be honest, I don’t listen to a lot of screamo, though I was a big fan of Pg. 99 and Circle Takes the Square 20+ years ago. Amora and “Blink of an Eye” has some of the same elements as those bands, but they lean towards a more melodic sound and a more refined less experimental approach. Nonetheless they bring all of the energy and passion to their playing, and I can feel the catharsis in me as this new song takes me from in you face aggression to soaring harmonies and melodies with the slightly muffled screams behind it.

There are so many elements of this song that rip. The bridge with the build up is fucking sick. And the different guitar leads are tasty as fuck. Good shit indeed.

“Blink of an Eye” is not on Bandcamp, but they have lots of stuff there for you to check out and buy shit to support them!
