Metal Asylum Reviews DCxPC Live Vol. 23 The Phensic

The Phensic is an incredible group which includes members of the ska/reggae brands, Bigger Thomas, Hub City Stompers and Rude Boy George. Their music is one that is unique as they create a groovy mix of 60s and 70s reggae and punk.

Today we are looking at The Phensic’s newest album, “DCxPC Live Vol.23” that consists of seven brilliant, live studio tracks.

Kicking off the album we have, “Don’t Test Me”. This is the perfect start to an amazing album. It begins with some rocky, and talented musicians, and straight away we are hooked. The music is quite funky, and you just cannot help but dance along to it and be excited to hear the rest of the collection.

One track that really caught my eye was, “I Got The Feeling”. Everything about this tune is great, the music, the vocals and even the lyrics. The reggae style really shines through in this one, as you will find the beat is incredibly catchy and contagious.

“War Inside” is, of course, another brilliant track. One thing that stood out to me in this one was the vocals. There is no denying that the main vocalist has a fantastic voice and is clearly very talented. Alongside backing vocals, the singing in this one will have you intrigued.

And to finish off the album we have, “Unchained”. This is a brilliant ending, to a brilliant album, and I just cannot get enough of it.

This album by The Phensic is better than anything you can imagine, and being a liv studio recording, we able to see true talent.
