Philadelphia’s KulfiGirls fuse contemporary rock with Carnatic instrumentation to create a sound that is heavy, melodic, exploratory, and entirely their own. Led by vocalist and Saraswati veena player Abi Natesh, the band blends distorted guitars, driving rhythm, and soaring veena melodies into a debut album centered on transformation, acceptance, and coming of age. This double LP edition pairs the full studio recordings with acoustic versions that nod to the songs’ earliest demo forms, offering both the fully realized album and a more intimate look at how the material began.
Cut-Rate Druggist is a two-piece from Oakland that hits with the force of a full band—drums + bass locked in tight, songs that move fast, and zero wasted motion. Blistering is ten tracks of punky grunge / grungy punk that’s raw, heavy, and immediate—no filler, no polish, just impact.
This is a special one for DCxPC Live: it’s only our second studio release, and our first full-length studio LP. Same urgency we chase in live records—just captured in a different way.
