OUR VALUES

WHAT WE’RE ABOUT

DCxPC Live: Our Space, Our Values

At DCxPC Live, we are dedicated to building and supporting an inclusive music scene that’s safe for everyone. We strive to create spaces where art, activism, and community come together. Rooted in punk rock, we believe in its power to stand against injustice and create positive change.

Our Non-Negotiables

We will not release, book or platform acts that:

  • Promote hatred or violence against marginalized communities

  • Have a documented history of sexual assault or harassment

  • Express racist, fascist, or white supremacist views

  • Engage in targeted harassment or discrimination

The Gray Areas

We recognize that people and situations are often nuanced. When making decisions about bookings and partnerships, we carefully consider:

  • Actions and impact over social media drama

  • Patterns of behavior, not isolated incidents

  • Willingness to engage in good faith dialogue

  • Demonstrated growth and accountability

How We Handle Concerns

When issues are raised about a group or individual:

  • We take all reports seriously and handle them with discretion.

  • Safety and well-being of our community members come first.

  • We gather available information thoughtfully and respectfully.

  • We consider context and severity of each situation.

  • Communication with involved parties happens when appropriate.

  • We base decisions on our core values and commitment to harm prevention.

  • Focus remains on community impact.

  • If we determine the safety of the audience is at risk, we reserve the right to deny entry or remove parities from an event

If we need to cancel a booking:

  • Communication will be handled professionally and respectfully.

  • We will be direct about our reasons for doing so.

  • We will honor any existing financial agreements.

  • We remain open to dialogue when appropriate.

Our Commitment: Community, Transparency, and Growth

At DCxPC Live, we are both a business and a labor of love. We are committed to:

  • Learning from experience

  • Adapting to the needs of our community

  • Maintaining transparency in all we do

This policy is a living document—it evolves just as we do. We welcome feedback from our community, considering concerns raised while also making decisions independently of external pressures like social media.

We stand firm in our commitment to justice, equality, and inclusivity. As we move forward, we will:

  • Stay open to constructive dialogue

  • Continuously reflect on our actions

  • Adapt our approach to stay true to our mission
