The performance opens with We Take Form, a song that deals with the pain and body dysmorphia brought about by cancer and a double mastectomy that the band’s bassist and vocalist has experienced. There’s a visceralness to it that is instantly arresting. A stripped-back intro launches head first into pacy punk. It’s a strong start.

Rage Rock in perspective for the sound that will follow, we find Some Kind of Nightmare on the famous “DCxPC Live Vol. 9 Presents Some Kind of Nightmare Live at Lou's” in San Diego, where the band operates with other talented artists to spread that Street Punk spirit that defines their music so well.

SKON has many songs that mean a lot, they’re not just playing music with meaningless words. It all means something and when you put it together you get an awesome EP such as “We Take Form”, the duo of vocals between Molly and Chy makes everything feel connected. You can feel the emotions behind each track and you cannot help but to get hype with them.

Hello Some Kind of Nightmare. What strengths do you have that you believe make you a great musician?

Endurance. You have to be able to deal with rejection on a daily basis as a musician. Keeping in mind, if your art is continuing to make you happy and you're still learning and growing consistently, you're doing well. We also try to stay humble. Egos aren't doing anyone any favors. But confidence is key. There is a difference. Always learn and grow.

Recorded even longer ago, in December/21, at Lou's LMGA, Orlando, this work was the first "post-covid" show that the project managed to record for a large audience, presenting in each of the 5 tracks all the essence, energy , instrumentation and hardcore punk rhythm, with songs that certainly didn't leave the audience still for a second, being perfect for moshs and stage diving.
