This thirteen-and-a-half minute recording is more than just a great Punk Rock concert for your living room or headphones. Some Kind of Nightmare present a powerful display of what Punk Rock really is about.

The performance opens with We Take Form, a song that deals with the pain and body dysmorphia brought about by cancer and a double mastectomy that the band’s bassist and vocalist has experienced. There’s a visceralness to it that is instantly arresting. A stripped-back intro launches head first into pacy punk. It’s a strong start.

Rage Rock in perspective for the sound that will follow, we find Some Kind of Nightmare on the famous “DCxPC Live Vol. 9 Presents Some Kind of Nightmare Live at Lou's” in San Diego, where the band operates with other talented artists to spread that Street Punk spirit that defines their music so well.

It all means something and when you put it together you get an awesome EP such as “We Take Form”, the duo of vocals between Molly and Chy makes everything feel connected. Hello Some Kind of Nightmare. What strengths do you have that you believe make you a great musician?

Endurance. You have to be able to deal with rejection on a daily basis as a musician. Keeping in mind, if your art is continuing to make you happy and you're still learning and growing consistently, you're doing well. We also try to stay humble. Egos aren't doing anyone any favors. But confidence is key. There is a difference. Always learn and grow.

The first is the striking and full of attitude We Take From, a live punk Rock sung by powerful voices, most of them female joining to complement the intense male voice, it is a song that makes our body live punk again.

If you care about keeping Glam Punk in good shape, then what you need to do is bring it out and perform it live! That is what this band does, and it absolutely blows my mind: A huge amount of Punk energy in unleashed with a vocalist that “spits” the lyrics on the faces of the (probably surprised) audience.

The 9th vinyl disc from the American punk label DCxPC Live has already been released, which is entirely dedicated to the band Some Kind of Nightmare. In 2021, the label recorded the band's concert in the city of Orlando, which, thanks to them, will forever remain in the memory of fans of hardcore and classic punk under the name 'Live at Lou's'.
