Plank Jones Release New Single: Anymore!

Plank Jones play a super rockin’ and catchy brand of garage rock infused with a touch of grunge and punk. The song starts with a great guitar riff with pauses that allows the drums to do a rad fill. Then it continues with the two guitars playing off each other. One with a fairly traditional garage rock sounding guitar and the other with a thicker fuzzier distortion that would fit more with grunge. Alone either would be cool, together it’s dope. The vocals have that slight distortion that you often hear in garage rock band, but then turn to these super clean and melodic vocals during the chorus that caught me by surprise. This stuff is super fun. If I was back in DC 20 years ago, I’d love to see them playing with The Shakedowns. While not sounding like any of these bands, I can see that fans of The Bronx, (International Noise Conspiracy), Murder City Devils and Division of Laura Lee digging this.
