Detachment Release New Single: Choke(d)!

The song starts with an aggressive guitar and bass riffage with blast beat drums and vocals that split the hair between metal and hardcore in their delivery. Then the drums switch to a more “groove” feel but with lots of frenetic fills. At around the 30 second mark this is this cool downturn of that while brief adds a lot to the dynamics of the song.

At about the 1:30 minute mark it turns to cleaner more melodic singing and instruments and brings with a bit of “screaming” in the background still before it comes in with a solid slow and heavy riffage. This is some good shit. It’s tight, heavy, and full of dynamics that keep the song interesting after multiple listens.

This band would fit right in with Greed Culture that I reviewed the other week or any bill with bands that fit the post-hardcore/scream/metalcore sound.

You can also check them out on their Spotify and on my Hardcore/Punk playlist full of dope songs!
