Dark Dazey Releases New Single: “Junk”

Dark Dazey are a psychedelic rock for the modern era with influences ranging from King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard to Thee Oh Sees to Psychedelic Porn Crumpets.

There’s a lot of stuff going on in this song. Some of my favorite parts are:

I love the verse with the muted guitar riff and the sick vocal pattern overtop of it.

Right about at the minute mark there is a drum fill leading into a pause that is followed by a sick guitar fill.

The guitar lead after the second break is rad as hell.

The ending is dope as it all just builds to a big crescendo and just suddenly ends.

Lyrically, it seems to be an attack on consumerism and all the junk we are encouraged to collect, which having been in a band with an album called Cheap Plastic Crap, is something I can totally agree with.

It’s very rare that my punk mind can sit back and enjoy a song that goes past the 2 and a half minute mark, but this song had me jamming the whole fucking time.
