Nobro’s New Single Has a Singular Message: “Let’s Do Drugs”

So I totally dig this song despite being drug free beyond alcohol and caffeine. I even live in Woodstock, NY, and I don’t smoke weed. Lame I know. That being said this song just rips. I don’t know if they mean it or if they are just tonuge and cheeking it, and I don’t really care. A good song is a good song and this is a damn good song.

It’s got that grunge and glam rock mixed with punk feel. Like if Motley Crue were a female fronted grunge band who spent their teens listening to 80’s hardcore punk. Seeing as how my wife has the Crue’s Dr. Feelgood cover tattooed on her back, and I dig old grunge/riot grrrl bands like L7 and Babes in Toyland I don’t consider this combination bad by any measure.

Whether it’s chanting “Let’s do drugs!” or simpley “Drugs, drugs, drugs”, I can see a full crowd of people chanting along even if it’s the first time they’ve heard the song.

A little before the minute mark there comes a dope bridge with well placed clapping and a sick guitar solo to break up the song and keep it from getting monotonous. The round of clapping is followed by a rad monologue which climaxes into a Queen “We will Rock You” esque chanting of Hey Hey Hey that segues into a gallopping double bass that plain rules.

So I can’t say I want to do drugs, but I can say that I’m gonna check out the rest of their shit to see if it’s as dope as this song!

Check out the song on their Spotify or listen to it on our punk playlist with some other punk bangers!
