The UK’s University provides a blistering soundscape of hardcore and noise music with emphatically screamed vocals (but in a non-cookie monster way)

Their new song, “Notre Dame Made Out of Flesh” starts off with lightly distorted guitar that makes me think this will be a garage rock tune, then I start hearing the feedback and sense the impending explosion that is about to occur.

It takes a hot minute (a little over actually) before the song truly kicks in with visceral vocals and rad as fuck accents on the drumming that just make this song a true banger.

It has it’s roots in hardcore, but the various parts and changes in tempo and more give a complextty while still retaining the stripped down essence of a hardcore punk band.

If they move on stage like I want to move while listening to this, then I know they put on one fuck of a show!

Check them out on their Link Tree or on my Punk Playlist full of bangers
