TwoMinutesHate Release New Single: “Killing Me Softly With This Job”
Despite the band being called TwoMinutesHate the songs are poppy enough that you’d assume the songs are devoid of any negativity. But in case the title of their new song didn’t clue you in, let me tell you that that’s just not fucking true.
With lyrics like:
“Trying to cater to this redneck scum
Calm on the surface
Like everything is perfect
I smile swallowing bile
Trying to picture your murder
Oh, this job is killing me”
There’s no mistaking this song for one of joy and laughter, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s always something I enjoy about happy sounding music with less than happy lyrics a la The Dancehall Crashers.
