Muse Chronicle Reviews DCxPC Live & Dead Vol. 1 Moat Cobra

Moat Cobra is one of Florida’s best metal bands blending class metal, sludge, and hardcore punk into their own unique style of swamp metal.

“This rare gem must not be missed by metal enthusiasts seeking a fresh and invigorating listening experience.”

Moat Cobra’s vinyl release, “Moat Cobra: Live & Dead,” offers an electrifying experience for fans of metal and punk rock music. With Side A showcasing their live prowess and Side B delving into their studio compositions

Side A kicks off with “Blood Crops,” a high-octane track that sets the stage for the energetic live experience. Followed by “Devour” which elevates you even further, ramping up the intensity with its furious pace and power-packed delivery, leaving the listener craving more. Next up “Bad Star,” delivers a robust and hard-hitting groove, showcasing the band’s ability to craft dynamic compositions effortlessly. “Singularity” has hints of punk in it and “Gladius Vulgarius” has an impeccable instrumentation, which is beautifully layered. With “”Soffo Cone” you wouldn’t know what hit you.

The Live side ends with a bang with “Permian”. Aside from the tracks already on live side, the dead side features the Prelude which sets up the track Lick the Knife which is perhaps my personal favourite from the album, it has your heart racing from the get go and will keep you hooked till the end.

With only 200 copies pressed on violet vinyl, this rare gem must not be missed by metal enthusiasts seeking a fresh and invigorating listening experience.
