“DCXPC LIVE VOL. 16 SKAPPOSITORY / SCUM SHOTS LIVE AT MR. BEERY'S” VINYL RELEASED

The DCxPC Live project has just released another vinyl release. This time, the DCxPC Live Vol. 16 edition features the bands Skappository from Long Island, New York (USA) and Scum Shots from Staten Island, also from New York. The Record, which was recorded at Mr. Beery's, in Bethpage, New York (USA), features a total of thirteen tracks, six from Skappository and seven from Scum Shots. As always, the productions that DCxPC use on their albums are always satisfactory, and this one is no different, although the performance venue is small.

In an identical way, both side A and side B present conformities in recording, mixing and mastering. The experience of the people carrying out this project already works as an accreditation certification, as efforts to promote underground bands have been going on since the pandemic. However, the results were so positive that DCxPC decided to continue with this revealing work. You can easily find the result by looking at the project's launch history and who has already participated in it. But I can tell you that you will be surprised by the quantity and, to guarantee your copy, start following them on social media. But anyway, let's move on to considerations about “DCxPC Live Vol. 16 Skappository / Scum Shots Live at Mr. Beery's”.

Skappository is made up of guitarists and vocalists Tony Morace and Christian Lesperance, Jess DeBellis (synthesized guitar and vocals), Mike Nigro (bass and backing vocals) and Dominic Barranco (drums). With genuine punk/ska, the quintet released the EP “Up Yours!” (2021) and three singles in 2023. The band conveys messages in their lyrics that range from the most acidic irony to serious and corrosive themes. Live, Skappository uses its unique mix of rhythms and elements to create excitement and satisfaction.

On side B, Scum Shots presents its garage punk that is already known through its three released albums, plus an EP and countless singles. In this live performance, Ricky Vega (guitar and vocals), Nick Parisi (guitar and backing vocals), Jamie Crispino (bass and backing vocals) and Mike Sanbeg (drums) bring out all the musicality that ranges from alternative rock, through from ska to the most stripped-down punk rock. Scum Shot's repertoire is as versatile as it is powerful, as the energy that comes from the riffs invades the fan's body through the ears and settles in the soul.
