Girth Brooks Release New Single: Cajun Crust

In their own words Girth Brooks is a pizza themed metal band who write songs about pizza. I’m a little sad that I didn’t find them dressed up like Pizza the Hut in any of their pictures on IG, but I did appreciate the pizza face masks. Giving “Cajun Crust” a listen, I’m hearing a short but brutal deathcore style metal with vocals so guttural they could have told me that this was about the toilet paper that stuck to their ass last week, and I’d have said sure. Well that is until the brief voiceover insisting that they just one Cajun and the ending where they all slowly chant “Cajun crust”.

So while I can’t really be sure that this is all about pizza, the music is definitely fucking dope. If you like the silly i.e. Gwar, Green Jelly, or S.O.D. - think songs like Milk and you also like death metal or deathcore this shit is for you. I’m betting their fucking great live. I only hope they throw pizza toppings or old crust at people, or maybe the crowd should throw it at them??

Check them out on their Spotify or my Metal Playlist
