Pink Suits Releases New Single: “Refuse the Rules”

There is no subtlety in this song, and that’s fucking just fine with me. As a fan of queercore political punk, it’s not hard to vibe with their message: “Our existence doesn’t threaten your existence” as they call out homophobes and declare their refusal to back down and shut up. While this will doubtless not change the minds of any close minded fuck out there, hopefully it will give some power to others who need a fight song to help them stand up against asshole homophobes.

Musically, it’s just as straight forward — its a solid and gnarly punk rock / garage rock riff played over simple, yet solid drumming.

If only they weren’t in the UK, I’d check out their new show for sure.
