Restroyer Releases New Single: “Parasite”

Restroyer’s opening riff to “Parasite” made me think of Strung Out right off the bat. The rest of it then feels like Rise Against mixed with early Pennywise. In other words, melodic, fast, with just enough of a hard edge to make it fucking rock. Take me back to 1992 when I was 16, and I’d be skateboarding to this shit all day. I dig the rapid firing playing at the end towards the end. Nice to have it just kick up up a notch even though it was already uptempo and fast.

If you dig that early Fat Wreckchords or Epitaph sound then you should check this out. This could easily have held its own on Fat Records for Fat People Vol. 1 or Punk - O - Rama Vol. 1. In particular, the vocal tone is just unique enough to help them standout amongst the crowd of rad bands on comps like those.
