Monochromatic Black Releases New Single “False Kings” Off Their New EP, Predacious

This brutal as fuck hardcore/metal band from Long Island, Monochromatic Black, has just released a new single “False Kings” off their new release Predacious, and the song fucking rips.

It comes in slow and with heavy as fuck drums and builds into groove laden verse with a mix of death metal vocals and more hi-pitched grindcore style vocals. The back and forth between the vocals styles works really well.

There’s a brief well placed tasty bass solo before the song goes into a double bass powered dirge of awesome fuck.

Love the guitar riffage around the 2:45 minute mark. Super rad. Made me stop and take notice.

Followed by anguished screams of “You never loved me” that is visceral as fuck.

Lyrically the song seems to be about calling out fuckers who act like they are good and perfect but are really mired in shit that will eventually catch up with them.

FFO: Face Yourself, The Machinist, VEXED, Entheos

You can also listen on their Spotify or on my Metal Playlist and my Punk/Hardcore Playlist

You can order the album on Bandcamp. The vinyl color looks dope and matches the jacket really well.

You should also follow their socials: IG, TikTok and FB

They are playing a dope show at Kingsland in Brooklyn this Saturday. It’s a three hour drive, but I’m definitely pondering checking it out and seeing if I can grab that vinyl in person.
