The Shake Question The Efficacy of Gods

As always River Monster Records never fails to release that good shit! The new single, “Dear God” by Florida’s The Shake is a fucking solid ass pop punk tune. It’s so good I even forgive it for being longer than two minutes…damn thing is nearly five fucking minutes!

The song starts with guitar leads like I might hear by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra that slowly grows in power as guitar riffs join in and creating a wall melodic wall of sound behind.

The vocals are melodic without being over poppy. You have to wait until after the second verse to get the chorus and feel the meaning of the song “What are Gods Worth Anyway?”

The guitar lead from the beginning happens again the middle and at the end, so as long as you dig the lead like I do, you’ll dig the song, but don’t take my word for it. Check it out below:

Or listen on their Spotify or on my punk playlist filled with other bangers!
