Aversions Release New Single: “Mirror Games”
Aversions’ “Mirror Games” is a mix of 80’s hardcore punk a la Husker Du as well as post hardcore like one might have heard on later Dischord Records releases.
Musically you can feel the angst and anguish of the lyrics which seem to be a self-attack on the comfort and privilege so many of us live in. Whether heavy or light, the music always seems to have a sadness or sense of internal pain that one can’t escape. I dig the song, but it certainly doesn’t make me happy which is okay cause sometimes you need to sit and reflect on your life’s personal connection to the world around it and see where you can do better.
