Friend Release New Single: “All the Money in The World”

This band called themselves “Goblin Punk” whatever the fuck that means. My initial instinct would be something related to AD&D or Lord of the Rings or maybe even Harry Potter. Listening to this music reminds me of none of those things, and while I love those things, I’m okay that they don’t try and do dragonlore based punk because this shit rocks without it. I’m getting this weird mix of early garage rock mixed with Stooges and 1970s CBGB punk and new wave. If I had to give it a goblin spin it’s that it’s a fall of fucking distorted noise akin the the cacophony of a goblin horde swarming the walls of your “Keep on the Borderlands”. All and all its some rad DIY shit that I really dig. The full album comes out in 2/2/24 so this is just an amuse bouche. If a band drops off the bill I’m playing in Philly in November, I know I’ll look this band up to see if they want to play.

Check out their song for yourself Spotify or on my punk playlist full of bangers

I’m a live vinyl label, so I also love to find live videos and share them:

Like all the smart DIY bands they’ve got a Linktree for all their online shit
