Jersey Calling Releases New Single: “Projections”
I’ve reviewed songs by Jersey Calling several times in the past including their album Parasocial Security, and I’ve always dug their 90’s pop punk influenced slabs of rock, and this new song, “Projections” is no different. They are back with Rock Band worthy guitar riffs, big soaring vocal melodies that mix male and female vocals in away that allows both to stake their claim to the song. At times he sounds like the dude from Diesel Boy, and she gives a definite Gwen Stefani sound which means she’s got some fucking pipes.
Lyrically, the song seems to be about dealing with emotional upheaval that one goes through when living a life that isn’t really yours—almost like you’re living a double life.
