DAFFODILDOS Release New Single: “No Pride”
DAFFODILDOS newest single, “No Pride”, musically reminds me a bit of The Adverts and maybe The Members (in the way they phrase their vocals) or the Toy Dolls. In other words it’s some pretty dope shit. Mid-temp punk rock with some quirky guitar effects that I don’t have the guitar knowledge to actually name with catchy vocals about shit that matters.
Lyrically they call out all the shit they don’t have pride in from police brutality to capitalism, but most of all they a attacking the people and corporations that have pride once a year. Topic wise, it reminds me a bit of “This Song is Sponsored by Absolute Vodka” by The Middle-Aged Queers. Speaking of which, these ands should get together and trade tours. Would love to catch the Daffodildos here in the states, and I’m sure MAQ would love to hit England’s ass.
This is a fucking dope first single, and I can’t wait to hear what else they release!
