Scooped Up Release New Single: “Slingshot”

I reviewed their last single “Shoelace” back in October, so I was stoked to get a listen to Scooped Up’s new single, “Slingshot”. This is another solid angsty pop punk song about the troubles of being alive. This one is a little more Homegrown and Blink 182 vs. the last one that reminded me more of MxPx. They may all sound the same to the uninitiated, but us punk rock gourmands know the difference. The song is fun and catchy, and I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t enjoy this. The fact that they are still DIY despite having a sound that is more than accessible enough for them to find label support is also endearing.
