Loaf Releases New Single: “Headaches”

It’s always dope to get sent a song by a band that I’ve played with. Loaf is dope three piece band from CT who I had the honor to share a stage with last summer for my second show drumming for Leave it Behind at The Raccoon Room. Their new song “Headaches” sounds just like a remember them. Distinct grunge distortion, tempo changes and lots of fucking rock. Pretty damn sure that the drummer is rocking the cowbell. Besides the SNL skit it always makes me think of 7 Seconds when I hear cowbell.

I don’t know what I like better the shift from rock to uber aggressive rock, the sick guitar solo, or the way it just ended leaving me wanting more. Good shit indeed. If you dig 90’s grunge a la The Melvins, Tad, or L7 mixed with some Pixies and The Breeders, then this shit is for you.

Check out their song on their Spotify or on my Grunge Playlist
