The Leatherbound Books’ New Single: “FVKING boring” is anything but!!
I’m not sure what I love more about this band, their super catchy indie pop melodies with slightly distorted guitars or the message in this song that being talented and appreciated for your talent has no value if you don’t fucking love what you’re doing. In fact it can be a negative and make you feel empty especially if it comes easy to you, and doesn’t give you a source of internal satisfaction. So stop being boring and playing songs for praise and love and play songs because its what you need to do and because you know you’d be doing it even if nobody else liked it. If musicians are so fucking different from people who enjoy the music than why the fuck would we want to listen to what they have to say anyway?
What’s my take away? This is a crazy well crafted 2 minute catchy as fuck song that ain’t fucking boring!
Remember value comes from the inside and works its way out!

They have a show coming up in October on 10/28 in VT. If I weren’t at Fest, I’d be making the drive to catch them play. Maybe we’ll have to do a show swap in the future and bring them to the Hudson Valley.
