O+ STAGE AT SNAPPER MAGEE’S

Hello everyone,
I’m Scott from DCxPC Live. Most of you already know me, but for those who don’t, I’ll be the stage manager for all three shows at Snapper Magee’s during O+ weekend.
DCxPC Live is a DIY live music project and record label based in the Hudson Valley. We book and promote punk, hardcore, ska, metal, and other independent music, record bands live, and release those performances on vinyl. At the core of everything we do is supporting the bands, artists, photographers, venues, and other people who keep the scene moving.
I know you’ve already received a lot of great information from O+, so this page is specifically for the logistics of playing at Snapper Magee’s.

Load-in: 5:45 PM
Music: 7:45 PM to 10:30 PM
PARKING & LOAD-IN
Street parking and several nearby municipal lots are available.
If you can’t find a spot close to the venue, you can briefly double-park in front while unloading. We’ll help carry gear inside.

All bands load through the front door.
First band: Gear goes directly onstage.
Second band: Gear goes to the left of the stage in the on-deck area.
third and fourth band: Gear goes in the room behind the stage.
Keeping gear organized this way makes the 15-minute changeovers much easier.

TIMING
Please stick to your scheduled slot and keep your set to a maximum of 30 minutes.
DCxPC Live prides itself on putting the punk in punctuality. Keeping everything on schedule makes the night run smoothly for everyone, and it’s always better to leave people wanting more than wishing you had played one song less.
I’ll have a stage timer running during each set and during changeovers.
If you break strings, please have a backup guitar ready. String changes won’t extend your set.
If your amp catches fire, that’s another story.

DRUMS
A Tama 4-piece kit will be available with (I have a second rack tom if you need it, just let me know):
Snare stand
Two boom cymbal stands
Ride cymbal extension arm
Hi-hat stand
Drummers must bring their own:
Cymbals
Snare
Sticks
Throne
Bass drum pedal
GUITAR & BASS
Available cabinets:
Two Peavey 4x12 guitar cabinets
One Hartke 4x10 bass cabinet
These are cabinets only. Bands must bring their own heads.
If you need to use your own gear, such as a combo amp, please let me know in advance.
The drum kit and cabinets will be mic’d.
MERCH
Merch space will include:
One 8-foot rectangular table
One 6-foot rectangular table
A fitted wood surface that I cut to cover the foosball table
Additional shelving in the window bay behind the foosball table
HOSPITALITY
I’ll have a case of room-temperature bottled water available for all bands to share.
Each band member will also receive one drink ticket good for:
Beer
Well liquor
Nonalcoholic option
Rough Draft, a coffee shop, is a couple of blocks away. There is also a Chinese takeout restaurant next door.

PROMOTION
I’ve printed and distributed:
11x17 posters
8.5x11 flyers
Handbills
They’ve been distributed throughout Kingston, New Paltz, Rosendale, Saugerties, Woodstock, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, the Catskills, and surrounding areas. I’ve also been handing out flyers at the shows I’ve worked over the past two months.
If you post the flyer on Instagram, please tag all of the bands along with O+, Snapper Magee’s, and DCxPC Live.

Stage Manager
I’ll be keeping the stage, load-in, changeovers, and set times moving throughout the night.
DEZ | DCxPC LIVE SOUND ENGINEER
Dez is DCxPC Live’s Sound Engineer and handles sound for nearly all of our shows. He makes bands sound amazing.
His setup includes four DI inputs, plenty of microphones and stands, front floor monitors, a drum monitor, two to three subwoofers, and the ability to accommodate in-ear monitors.
SAVANNAH | DCxPC LIVE PRODUCTION MANAGER
Savannah is DCxPC Live’s Production Manager. She coordinates pre-show logistics and helps keep everything running smoothly through day-of production support, performer communication, staff coordination, and troubleshooting.
When Savannah is around, I know there will always be a solution to whatever problem comes up.
