The Sons of James Release New Single: “Boswell”

I reviewed “All They Told You” for the The Sons of James back in August, and I’m stoked to check out their new single!

This song starts with a rad tom based drum beat and then punchy but melodic vocals and guitar feedback come in and build up until it kicks into a full punk rock anthem. I like how the shouted vocals just that gruff shouts that play a nice contrast to the melodic main vocals. I could see this shit on a Tony Hawk video game in the 1990s.

Lyrically this song is all about surmounting any and all barriers in your path whether you are pulling yourself up from the bottom due to drug or alcohol abuse or you’re just facing life’s daily challenges on your path to finding and being your true self.

Melodic and forceful at the same time this song really hits home is just a killer tune. These dudes should definitely rock The Fest next year!
