Condition Baker Releases New Single: “How Goes It”

This takes me right back to the winter of 1994 when I first saw Green Day’s “Long View “ on MTV. A junior in high school, I rocked the big blue mohawk loved bands like The Jam, GBH, Circle Jerks and Minor Threat, and was totally unaware of Green Day (Yes, I did not have their first two albums though I did know about Operation Ivy and Screaching Weasel on Lookout!).

In any case, Condition Breaker, bring that mid-1990’s era pop punk sound a la Green Day with just a touch of Jaw Breaker and maybe a little Alkaline Trio.

Lyrically the song laments a friend who fails to live up to all they can be and go for ALL. Instead “When things get too rough we take a bottle to the face” which I’m going to assume is not an actual bottle being smashed in their face and more likely the abuse of alcohol which as Homer Simpson declared is “the solution to and cause of all of man’s problems”.

Totally dig this and since they are in MA, and I’m in the Hudson Valley, hopefully I’ll be able to catch them one day and perhaps play a show together with my own band.

Check them out on Spotify or on my punk playlist
