Dollar Signs Release New Single: “Bless Your Heart”

I missed this band at Fest this year. No fault of theirs, its hard to catch everything you want with over 18 venues and over 300 bands plus the desires of the friends you’re with, not to mention the need to eat. I’ll probably wind up regretting it cause this are dope as fuck.

After checking out this track inspired by the like of Jeff Rosenstock, PUP and Joyce Manor, I’ll double my efforts next fest to check them out.

Lyrically the most interesting is the the repeated phrase "Bless your heart" which I assume is somewhat ironic. It's a phrase often used in the South to show sympathy or condescension. Here, it could be interpreted as both a genuine expression of empathy and a subtle critique of society's approach to addressing mental health.

You’ll have to listen yourself to figure it out:

Check them out on Spotify or on my Punk Playlist
