Obsidian’s “Born Trouble” is a Fucking Banger!
I gotta say I feel ripped off. I’ve heard about this band for a while, and I thought they were a gothic band a la The Cure or The Smiths whom I love, but I still tend to go to mostly hardcore and punk shows. Now that I’m listening to Obsidian’s new song, “Born Trouble” I see how hardcore they can be. Yes, there is some dope shit going on that throw the goth shroud over what could otherwise be a crackrock punk song. And that blazing guitar solo makes me wet in three places in my pants.
If you are reading this Ripley, I blame you for not making it more clear that when the Caustic Bats played with this band that they fucking slapped!
To be fair to myself and Ripley, I checked out their other stuff, and it’s super rad, but definitely more gothic-esque and less hardcore, but I think having a band that can do both is sick as fuck.
