Fates Messenger Releases Two New Singles: Worlds Collapse and Carved In Stone!
UK-based Thrash / Metalcore four-piece Fates Messenger have released a double-single: “Worlds Collapse” and Carved in Stone”! Formed from the ashes of legendary British hardcore/thrash outfits Above All, Romeo Must Die & Dishonour the Crown this new band carries the fucking flag of heavy as fuck metal!
“World Collapse” opens with a brutal as fuck primal scream supported by some heavy fucking riffage and quickly followed by some rapid as fuck double bass pedal. When everything drops out and then the guitar riffs hits followed by that fucking snare fill before launching into a thrash to to end all thrash. Reminds me quite a bit of Sepultura which I fucking love.
“World Collapse” is about the fragility of life and the weakness of the human mind. All it takes is one wrong decision, no matter how small at that time which can lead to a domino effect from which there's no turning back, your world collapses around you.
“Carved in Stone” starts with fucking grindcore style blastbeat driven metal and takes a turn that reminds me of Pantera. The vocals take on a cleaner sound at one point without losing the fucking heavy. I’m loving the mix of styles that are coming here which allow me to hear it as a fresh new metal band while also reminding me of early 90’s metal albums that I just loved.
“Carved in Stone” is the flip side to ‘World Collapse’, having self belief and commitment to living the best version of yourself and leaving a positive mark on the world. Don't look back with regret wishing you'd followed your heart.
