Atlantic Rift’s Killer New Single “Headhunter” is Out Now!

While I’ve certainly enjoyed listening to and going to metal shows over my last 30+ years a a punk rock dude, it’s not where I spend the majority of my time. Out of 17 or so releases on DCxPC Live, only two have been metal: Moat Cobra and No Coffin. I say this because I dig metal, but I’m also picky about that which I enjoy and find worthy of my time to listen, watch or write about. So let me be clear, this Scottish band is one of those metal bands!

From the rapid fire double base and staccato rhythms to the slowed down but brutal later parts with vocals that have that System of a Down feel at times and with punctuated screams that sound like Phil from Pantera a la Cowboys from Hell this song just rips!

Around the two minute mark it has a build that reminds me of Coal Chamber and then goes into a hardcore-ish breakdown which gets even more rad when the drums start doing rapid double bass under the slow rhythms of the rest of the band.

Definitely worth the time!

Check them out on Spotify or on my Metal Playlist full of bangers as well as on Instagram and Facebook.
