Wroht Releases New Single: “Beyond Salvation”

As I started listening to Wroht’s new single, “Beyond Salvation”, I found myself returning to my 15-year old self in 1991. I was living the DC metro area, and I was obssessed with the Florida metal scene from bands such as Morbid Angel, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse (Yes, I know they started in Buffalo), and Obituary. (I’d love to say Assück, but I admit that I hadn’t heard of them until Atom and His Package’s song “Punk Rock Academy”.)

You’ve got complex rhythms and tempo changes incorporate with doom-laded guitar riffage, intricate guitar melodies, deep guttural death metal vocals, and a rhythm section tighter than a turtle’s twat.

Lyrically, this focus on the deep and personal. It goes for the introspective anguish that would have fit perfect for the 90’s mindset that I grew up with. You can see what I mean in their lyric video:

Apparently they are back from a five year hiatus, and I for one am stoked because this shit just fucks.

Check them out on Bandcamp and buy their shit:

You can also check them out on their Spotify or my Metal Playlist

And since I run a live album vinyl record label, I love live stuff, so check this shit out:

This recap from their Gilman show is pretty rad too:

Make sure to follow them on FB, IG, and TikTok.

Also check out their website and Linktree page

No tapes and no CDs, I can’t play either of them.

Also make sure to check out DCxPC Live’s store where I have vinyl release of live albums by amazing hardcore, punk, ska and metal bands! We are a small DIY record label doing our best to document the scene we love in the way we love it most—LIVE!

I’d recommend one of our killer metal releases by Antagonizör, Moat Cobra or No Coffin!
