Kathook Release New EP: Embrace the Madness

Okay. Just what the fuck? This is the sort of weird, rad as fuck music that would have easily fit onto Alternative Tentacles or SST back in the day. These new tracks, “Hell in a Cell” and “The Way It Is” by Kathook are all over the fucking place in musical styles from funk, to punk, to jazz with musical dexterity abounding but energy and who gives a fuck also in abundance. If you like some of the weirder shit by Faith No More or if you’re fans of bands like Mr. Bungle, Minutemen, World/Inferno Friendship Society, etc. then you’ll be all over this shit.

Since it really defies description, you need to listen to Embrace the Madness for yourself:

And while I’ve never done the drugs that one might take to come up with this video below, I can totally fuck with it, and think it deserves more than a handful of repeat watches!

You can also give it a listen on their Spotify or my Indie Rock/Grunge/Garage Rock Playlist!

Follow them on FB and IG too and check out their Linktree

Need a song reviewed or playlisted? Contact me using the link below (Keep in mind, I only review bands I actually like; you can go elsewhere for insincere or negative reviews.)
