Yogamum Release First Single: “Jordan Peterson Blues”
Yogamum’s “Jordan Peterson Blues” mix punk and grunge to create their own unique sound that’s got me hooked. The part that stick out most is that baseline that reminds me a little of the bassline from “Cannonball” by the Breeder, except heavier and less dancey. It’s just got that cool gallop to it. I think I heard something like that in Nirvana song too.
There’s a lot happening in this song: Lots of fucking feedback (in all the right place), freaking cowbell!, thicker than fuck distortion, catchy ass vocals and a deserved social critique which seems to be centered around Jordan Peterson that douche bag conservative self-help clown who prays on people’s fears and insecurities. All in all, it’s a worthy first song, and I’m stoked to hear more later.
You can check the song out on their Spotify or on my Grunge Playlist or my Punk Playlist
