Rezet Releases New Song: “Unholy Grail”

Germany’s Rezet' released a killer new thrash metal song, “Unholy Grail”, which blends 80's speed metal and NWBHM sounds into a more modern take that feels fresh today. From the opening with the rad ass guitar solo and punctuated riffage and cymbal crashes, I was all in on this. In some ways it reminds me a bit of a mix of Megadeth and Death Angel while sounding like neither.

Sung in English, the songs lyrics seems to be about a relationship filled with pain and inevitable despair. There is no peace in this relationship; only certain failure and anguish.

The song is catchy without being mainstream with solid ass fucking guitar riffage, the bass slaps and the double bass drum hits in all the right places. This is really the kind of metal that I grew up on and it’s what I love hearing today.
