This is a Revolver Release New Single: “Arrivederci!”
First thing that hits me with this song is brief organ intro that gives way abruptly to a killer bass riff which builds up with guitars and drums to kick into a full fucking brutal sonic assault that should get any young punk a circle pitting (maybe even a few older ones too). I can definitely hear the mix of punk, grunge and even a bit of metal in this shit. For a moment, I thought the singer sounded a little like Theo from the Lunachicks, but on my second listen, I took a slight left turn and decided the whole band actually reminds me of Bantam featuring Gina Volpe of the Lunachicks who were a favorite of mine 20 years. I still remember playing a show with them at Hal Daddy’s in Baltimore and just being blown away with their performance.
In that same vein, I’d be stoked to catch this band live, so here’s hoping they come to New York sometime soon!
Side Note: The organ is only on the YouTube version, it’s not there on the Spotify. I wonder why??
