Vida Releases New Song: “In Absence”

I reviewed Vida’s song, “TMS”, about a month ago, and I fell in love with this band, so I was stoked to have them send me another song of their mix of post-hardcore, grunge, and metal. The band described this song as a mix of “Metz, Led Zeppelin, Drive Like Jehu and The Bronx”, and I can’t find fault with that description at all.

The song is heavy on groove and energy with lots of builds and drops that keep you just on the edge. I love the bridge around the 1:48 mark where it pauses and comes in all phrenetic like where I could see the crowd going fucking nuts waiting for the release that comes from the change back into the groove. Fuck yeah!

You can also check them out on their Spotify or on my Punk / Hardcore Playlist and my Indie Rock/Grunge/Garage Rock Playlist

Make sure to follow them on IG and TikTok
