Water Tower Releases New Single: “Lose Everything”

Punk influenced indie bluegrass band, Water Tower, have released their first single, “Lose Everything” off their forthcoming full length release Fly Around (Dutch Records), a ten-track concept album collection of songs rooted in bluegrass and folk, while managing to blend psychedelic and punk influences to create their own brand of Americana.

While this certainly leans more towards bluegrass in most of it’s elements, both the subject matter of addiction and the honest and energetic delivery allows for me to make some connections with folk punk. I especially dig the rapid fire finger picking of the banjo. I could easily see them playing on Chuck Ragan’s Revival tour from a decade ago with Dave House, Brian Fallon and Dan Andriano or see them hitting the tour circuit with artists like Jacob Danielsen-Moore.

Their album has some dope guest artists too: Don Bolles, Ariel Pink, Black Flag’s Ron Reyes, ex. Old Crow Medicine Show's Willy Watson, and Bullets and Octane’s Gene Louis.

Check them out on their Spotify or my (folk) punk playlist

Follow them on IG, FB, TikTok and check out their website

And since I run a live album record label, here’s a live video f one of their songs:

They also have a full live album on Spotify, that I really dug. Is it in vinyl? Should it be? Hmmmm
