Dea & Saint Release New Single: “Shark Tank”

Dea & Saint don’t fit the archetypical sound of a punk rock band, but their mixture of hip hop and trap isn’t really that far a departure since I’ve always considered the souls of punk rock and hip hop to be connected in their opposition to oppression.

The song starts with some sick flow mixed with punk riffs followed by some rad ass bars by one of them with just drums underneath. After a brief bridge the song gets full hardcore and would make any punk want to circle pit. Dig the little guitar lead into the dope vocal ending.

Lyrically, it’s an attack on the capitalistic system, and I assume on some level the song title was inspired by the reality show Shark Tank. If not, fuck it. With that being said, the image in their video reminds me of King Shark from DC Comics.

Hailing from Florida, I somehow missed getting to see them during my 15 year entrapment in that state. If they ever come to NY, I’ll be sure to correct that.
