pink suits Release New Single: “C.O.F.F.E.E.”

I reviewed an earlier pink suits single, “Refuse the Rules”, a little while back, so I was stoked to receive this new single. My love of coffee aside (10 years of coffee shop work, a pot of coffee a day habit, love of songs bout coffee be them from Black Flag, The Descendents or Lagwagon), this is a fun fucking song. I spent several weeks on tour in Europe with my band, The Overprivileged and our tour mates, Evil Beaver who played Peaches nonstop, so I am positive I can say that here is some Peaches influence in this song mixed with the riot grrrl punk and garage rock.

Per the band this was done as an opener since it consists of various vocal warm ups. I think that’s pretty rad. I know Fugazi tended to open with instrumentals just to test out the acoustic of the room since sound check was mostly done to an empty room while the show is (hopefully) filled with warm bodies that change the room’s acoustics.

I do have to disagree though that it’s better for kids to to drink a cup of tea. Like Ted Lasso, I find tea:

But with that being said, the song does make me laugh and smile and I could see myself singing along with it from the start of every show. Sometimes songs that seem like silly throw aways are actually great songs. This is one.

On my 5th or so listen, I began to think I was listening to the Toy Dolls which is a great fucking band.

Be a proper coffee lover and buy their shit on Bandcamp:

Or be a wanker and listen for free on their Spotify or my Punk Playlist

Also follow them on IG and check out their Linktree
