Germany’s Truth Grip Release New Single: “Reckoning”
Germany’s Truth Grip lean heavy, and I do mean heavy, into the metalcore for their sound to produce some kick ass metallic hardcore! The opening riff has me getting ready to bang my head as if it’s 1990, and I’m in 8th grade all over again. I hear hints of Pantera a la Cowboys from Hell mixed with Hatebreed. Totally digging the slow breakdown around the 2 minute mark. Fucking sick. I could go all creepy crawly on this shit (If you know, you know). I appreciate the build up, that just hits like your own mom kicked you in the balls.
Lyrically, the song communicates a narrative of personal triumph, resilience, and the pursuit of justice in the face of adversity. The tone is assertive and reflects a sense of closure and empowerment for the narrator.
