Proud House of Schmucks Releases New Single: “On Strike”
I really dug Proud of of Schmucks last release, “Manic”, that I reviewed back in October, so I was stoked to get sent their new release, “On Strike”! Despite it’s title is less a working man’s call to organize and join the picket line and more the working man’s call to just fuck it all because working just to get by paycheck just fucking sucks and why work if the wage isn’t a liveable one?
Definitely on the faster and more aggressive side than the other which is just fine for me ‘cause that’s how I like it, and not just when I’m riding a Merry Go Round. It has a definite 80’s hardcore style feel to it, and while it’s not breaking any new ground, they are definitely bringing all the anger and fury that made 80’s style hardcore the best hardcore I’ve still ever heard.
