Fault Cognitions Releases New Single: “Sad Sack”

I’m loving “Sad Sack” by Fault Cognitions. Raw pop punk? Is that a thing? If it wasn’t, then it is now! I can’t tell if the rawness is a byproduct of the production or just the way the songs are played, but whichever it is, I dig the fuck out of it. Kind reminds me of early Replacements with a mix of early Off with Their Heads.

Lyrically it’s just as a raw as it seems to hint at ones internal struggles with how to manage living in a world of material privilege but still feeling embroiled in emotional turmoil. The title Sad Sack itself is such as cute dismissive way to talk about someone being emotionally distraught, but it also fits since the singer doesn’t seem to know whether its okay to feel the way they do.

So go to Bandcamp and listen and BUY their shit.

You can also listen to them on their Spotify or my Punk Playlist

Also follow them on IG

PS

I was playing my Trash Knife record today, and admiring the dope logo they came up with using “T” and “K”, and it had me wishing my band could have a killer two letter logo even though we have three words in our name. Then I see this logo, and I’m like yes again! I love a good two letter punk logo! That’s the sort of shit people get tattooed on their bodies.
