Illusions Fade Releases New Single: “Resilienz”

Germany’s Illusions Fade released their new single, “Resilienz”, a couple of weeks ago, and it’s bound to be a metal classic. If you dig Arriving Home, We Awake, As I Lay Dying, Miss May I, Caliban, you’ll dig this!

The song starts with a dope thrash riff and then turns to a classic metal riffage in the verse with some slight high pitched growled vocals that fit the mood perfectly. The bass guitar provides all the bottom needed to fill out the sound with the drummer bringing the rapid double bass.

The chorus is more of a melodic epic metal vocal style which is a nice changer over, and there is also a more death metal style vocals later too. I really appreciate the change in vocal styles throughout the song.

The song is in German, so I had to use Google translate, so from what I can tell it’s about acknowleding the downfalls in life and confronting one’s natural cynical nature and replacing that nature with hope for what come on the horizon that could lead to redemption. To get there one needs to maintain resilience.
