Heavy Lag Releases New Single: “Time Was Never on My Side”

Heavy Lag’s newest single, “Time Was Never on My Side”, is a dirty pop punk song that’s catchy as fuck. The dirty mostly comes from the gnarly bass sound. It reminds me a bit of a more garage rock version of The Ergs or like some early songs by 2AMature. The dual guitars are used well on this song with each one doing something distinctive that blends well with the song as a whole.

That audio clip from one of the greatest movies of my youth was also fucking dope. I see you and I hear you. And what I hear and see are not evil. LOL.

The audio clip was followed by a rad guitar solo that reminded me of The Meat Puppets. I admit that I dug that little bell at the very end. Well done drummer. Well done.
