The emotion of live performances is a pleasure that every music lover cannot do without. The years of the pandemic and the social restrictions imposed due to the global covid-19 pandemic have undermined the concert activity for a long time.

Thousands of artists and bands around the world have had to interrupt their live activity because they do not comply with the regulations aimed at containing the infections, promulgated by various governments around the world. In that limited and castrating context there are those who have worked to keep the music from stopping by publishing streaming performances of various artists.

A concrete example of this initiative is represented by the operation carried out by the DCxPC label. After the health emergency, on the wave of the success of the initiative, the Label continued to publish live performances recorded at the historic Uncle Lou's in Orlando, Florida. The latest release of DCxPC is the Live Vol.22 which shows us the performance of four artists of the underground punk scene: Sticky Steve , Borrowed Sparks , Jacob Danielsen-Moore and Dougie Flesh & Slasher .

Punkhead Interviews Mr. P about DCxPC Live Vol. 22 Sticky Steve, Borrowed Sparks, Jacob Danielsen-Moore and Dougie Flesh & The Slashers

What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of 'DCxPC Live Vol. 22 Sticky Steve, Borrowed Sparks, Jacob Danielsen-Moore and Dougie Flesh & The Slashers?'

In the long run, it’s part of my entire niche which is releasing live punk, hardcore, ska, and metal albums on vinyl that came into being during the pandemic when I was doing livestreams and decided to release those on vinyl. Since then I’ve released albums I’ve recorded at places like Lou’s with the help of Josh from Danger Room Recording Services or I’ve re-released past live albums that were never on vinyl before or bands have found ways to record where they live and then send me the recordings like Year of the Fist or my forthcoming Skapossitory / Scum Shots split 12”
