Black Magic Holiday and Drew Mulholland Release New Single: “Posh Guy Says C**t 113 Times”

Per BHM’s label, Irregular Patterns, “They are a proto-punk outfit that creates lo-fi experimental music with anarchistic themes. Their work is simultaneously self-conscious and tongue-in-cheek; it pushes the boundaries of decency while vehemently expressing anger yet still manages to laugh at itself. As a label, we view BMH's music in much the same way as Duchamp's infamous urinal from 1917.”

I have to say that 8th grade/9th grade me would have found this song just as funny as I did The Exploited “Sex and Violence”, but probably more so since in America saying cunt is considered far more vulgar than in the UK where this due is from.

I appreciate that they kept count and that they managed to say it in so many different ways. This reminds me almost like something I’d find on a Mike Patton solo album where he just does weird voice effects over even weirder music.

Will this song be on repeat? Will it be your next break up song? Will it be the song you play your kids before they go to bed? The choice is yours, and I don’t think it’s a hard one.

You can also order this song on lathe cut 7” on the band’s Bandcamp. The 7” comes in a sealed plastic wallet, containing stickers and a lyric postcard and to finish, all wrapped in a shredded fishnet tight. All proceeds from sales are going to the hospice that cared for Gerry.
