Drops Releases New Single, “Pressure” off of new EP, Feel It!
Drops from France plays hardcore in the vein of Turnstile, Backtrack, Trapped Under Ice, Terror. Their “Pressure” is off their new EP, Feel It, that came out a few weeks ago.
I dig the intro with the dope drums and that rad as fuck guitar work done between the heavy riffage. Then it goes into a more traditional hardcore breakdown beat on the drums with chanted vocals before kicking into the more verse. The song switch back and forth between rapid hardcore punk style versus and more groove laden choruses. I feel like this would have fit in on any of the first three Victory Style record comps from back in the late 1990’s.
Overall this a dope ass hardcore song with elements of metal that with lyrics that seem to be about being fed up with the world and trying to hold your shit together with a smile on your face even when everything is coming down around you.
